Funeral services for Mr. Morris "Red" Warshaw, of Bastrop will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Faith Baptist Church of Bastrop. The Rev. Rubin Weaver will officiate the services. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop. The family will receive friends beginning at 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church.

Morris Roy Warshaw, was born January 24, 1936 in Roby, Texas and he passed away peacefully, October 26, 2013 at the Oak Woods in Mer Rouge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean McGough Warshaw; his parents, Jesse Warshaw and Gertrude Snodgrass Warshaw and a brother.

Mr. Warshaw was an active member of Faith Baptist Church and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a former salesman for numerous retail businesses and retired from Vernon Sawyer Trucking. "Red" will be fondly remembered as an avid fisherman spending countless hours in his boat out on Bussey Brake.

Mr. Warshaw is survived by his children, Kathi Jo Brodnax, Butch Williams, Robert Williams, Scott Williams, Doug Warshaw, Stephen Warshaw, Bobby Warshaw, Chris Warshaw and Monty Warshaw; a sister and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are Howard Johnson, Clark Bowen, Bob Johnson, Johnny Legg, John McKenzie and Doug Goyne.
