Sterlington 2, Jena 1
Harrison Womack pitched five scoreless innings for his first varsity win as Sterlington trimmed Jena 2-1 to close out the Trey Altick Louisiana Prep Classic, Saturday night at Panther Park.
Sterlington opened up a 2-0 lead. Hixson Street drew a bases-loaded walk to force in Seaver Sheets and Davis Johnson singled home Zach Crain.
Jena scored its lone run in the sixth with the aid of a walk and a hit batsman. Drawing his first start behind the plate, Grant Mangrum threw out a would-be base stealer at second base to help preserve the lead.

Womack struck out six in five innings for the win. Hayes Crockett pitched the sixth with Whittington handling the seventh.
