The Vernon Parish Police Jury was sworn-in at 9 a.m. Monday by Vernon Parish Clerk of Court, Mr. Jeffrey K. Skidmore. 

The Police Jury welcomed four new members this term - Mr. Douglas L. “Doug” Roshong, Mr. Scottie E. Benjamin, Mr. Malcolm “Dean” Mitchell, Jr. and Mr. Steven “Quintin” Thompson. Eight members are returning to the jury - Mr. James B. “Jim” Tuck, Mr. Marvin Hilton, Mr. Alton “David” Fox, Mr. Reginald D. “Reggie” Johnson, Mr. Charnel J. Bailey, Jr., Mr. David B. Brister, Mr. Curtis L. Clay, and Mr. Kenny R. Haymon. 

At their Organizational meeting at 10 a.m., the jury elected Mr. James Tuck to serve another term as President and Mr. Curtis Clay is returning as Vice President. Mrs. Rhonda Plummer was also re-appointed to the position of Parish Administrator/Treasurer for another two-year term and Ms. Belinda Diehl will continue to serve as the Secretary of the Police Jury.
