Bastrop High School will observe Homecoming the week of September 24 through 28. The Homecoming Theme is “Having A Ball In Fall!”
There will be various homecoming activities.
Parents and students are reminded that each day of homecoming activities students still have to follow school rules for dressing; no sagging pants, and always wear a belt, etc.
Monday, September 24, will be Pajama Day. The theme is “Put The Menard Eagles to Sleep Day”
(Pajamas must be long, not see-through, no mid-tops or spaghetti straps, no house shoes.)
Tuesday, September 25th is Coronation Day; Dress-up day for students. The theme is “Ram Pride---Let’s Represent!” The Coronation will be held at 9:00A. M.in the school auditorium, parents are welcome to attend.
Wednesday, September 26, is Twin Day – Dress Alike “Double your Spirit Day”.
Thursday, September 27th is Wacky-Tacky Day- Dress Mix and Match, and “Walk A Mile For The Rams”. This is also Parade Day
2018 Homecoming Parade begins at 1:00 P.M. Parade line-up starts at 12:00 Noon, on McArthur Drive, the west side of Bastrop High School.
Applications for Homecoming Parade may be obtained from Bastrop High School. The deadline to return the application is Monday, Sept. 24, 12:00 noon. The parade application fee is $20.00 for floats, cars, trucks and other motor vehicles: $10.00 fee for 4-Wheelers/ATVs and horses.
Ads for the Homecoming Souvenir Book are also available at Bastrop High School.
Friday, September 28th, is Color Wars Day. Each class will wear a specific color Tee shirt to represent their class. 8th grade will wear Red, 9th grade Gold, 10th grade Black, 11th grade Orange and 12th grade White.
Friday's schedule also includes a Pep Rally and Homecoming Game against Menard at 7:00 P. M. to round out the events for the week.
Tailgating spaces are available for $100, and $50.00 for each additional block. Fees cover tailgating only; wrist bands will be sold for $10.00 for each person. To purchase a tailgating spot see Mrs. Ramey in the BHS Student Services Office. Spaces are available on a first-come basis.
