On June 25, 10 4-H members, one junior counselor and the 4-H agent set off for a week long adventure to 4-H camp at Camp Grant Walker in Pollock. During the week, they could chose between seven different tracks that included food and fitness, wetlands, water safety, outdoor adventures, S.E.T., art and crafts and hunters education.

They enjoyed hands-on activities while learning more about the topic they chose. In the afternoon hours, they rotated through nine recreational tracks where they could enjoy the pool, archery, tubing, kayaking, line dancing and so much more.

After supper, they enjoyed free time where most of them enjoyed swimming, dancing or watching a movie. A talent show was held one afternoon where jokes were told, singing filled the building and the dancing was spot-on. Another afternoon Victoria M. was recognized for being the Camp T-Shirt Design Winner.

Those that enjoyed camp this year from Morehouse Parish were Ava B., Jayden C., Devin G., Mary Claire K., Victoria M., Emsley-Blake M., Emery Bell O., Emilee S., Macie S., Sophie W. and Bailey W.

A big thank you to Morehouse Parish School Board for allowing us to use a school bus for transportation, Robert Jackson for driving the bus and the Morehouse Parish Sheriff’s Office for escorting us.
