Bastrop High School’s Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) will host its fourth annual summer drill training camp at Bastrop High School from July 25-28 for all incoming cadets (not mandatory). Current Cadet Battalion Staff will give incoming freshmen a tour of the high school and teach basic drill and ceremony, discipline and teamwork. This camp will also provide information and allow for hands-on demonstrations of several teams (armed drill, an unarmed exhibition team, boy’s and girl’s color guards, a marksmanship team, a cadet challenge team and leadership and academic teams) that make up JROTC.
