The Bastrop-Morehouse Chamber is encouraging Bastrop residents to shop local by holding a Holiday Receipt Raffle from November 14 to December 12.

In recent months the Bastrop-Morehouse Chamber of Commerce has been encouraging Bastrop residents to shop locally and support Bastrop and Morehouse businesses during this time as local businesses across the country have been facing economic hardships due to the Coronavirus Pandemic.

As stated in a flyer, the Chamber “wishes to reward people for supporting local businesses this holiday season, so we are giving people the chance to win gift cards to local retail businesses and restaurants that are Chamber members during November and December.” Each week there will be a receipt raffle giving away four $25 gift cards and one $50 gift card.

To enter the raffle locals must spend at least $25 at any local business or restaurant and drop off or email the receipt or a copy of the receipt to the Chamber. Each receipt qualifies the sender to one entry into that weeks drawing. There is no limit to the number of entries a person can have each week, but each receipt can only be used for one entry, and the receipt must have the sender’s name, phone number, and the total amount spent. The drawings will be held each Wednesday.

People can drop of their receipts at the Chamber of Commerce office at 110 North Franklin Street by sliding the receipt through the mail slot or they can email them to director@bastroplacoc.org.

The Chamber encourages Bastrop residents to shop local this holiday season as “one small purchase can make a big difference. Please give the gift of kindness by supporting our local businesses.”
