• Lost in Suburbia: The mother of all shopping expeditions

  • “I need new jeans. Mine are all too small,” my teenage daughter told me joyfully. She grinned like the Cheshire Cat as she showed me how she was barely able to get the jeans over her hips. I sighed. I vaguely remember a time when I, too, had been overjoyed when my jeans were too small. Now when my jeans are too small, I cry for a week and blame it on childbirth.
