When you think about it, summer beach reading doesn’t make a lot of sense. For one thing, the sun is too bright. For another, all that sunscreen makes page turning messy. Then there’s the whole matter of positioning. Beach blanket advocates who wind up reading on their stomachs go home with baked backs and wintry chests.
