The Bussey Bass Club held its first tournament of the year Saturday, Jan. 14, at Lake Providence. Thirty-one members fished in a stout cold wind which made conditions tough, but didn't make the fish not bite. Seventeen limits were weighed in which made for a good start to the year.

Kris Fulmer came out on top with a sack that weighed 17 lbs., 2 ozs. Fulmer edged Ronald Dement who weighed in an even 17 lbs. In third place was William Hatten at 16-11, followed by Mike Jordan at 15-13, Brandon Poche at 15-9 and David Brakefield at
15-0.

Paul Bryan caught Big Bass of the day at 5-8.

The BBC's next tournament will be held on Lake D'Arbonne on Saturday, Feb. 25. Launch will be at Jake's at safe daylight and weigh-in will be at the pavilion across from Jake's on the peninsula. For more information contact Daron "Bonz" Goyne at 669.2794.
