OUACHITA RIVER — Joe Bob’s and Logtown are the only launches open on the river at this time because of the drawdown. Because of rains upstream, there is some current in the river. LAKE D’ARBONNE — This has been another slow week for the bass and crappie. Very few have been reportedly caught on the lake. Bream fishing is fair on crickets and worms and catfishing is good on cold worms and night crawlers fished off the banks all around the lake. LAKE CLAIBORNE — Overall, fishing is quite slow. Some crappie have been caught early mornings around submerged structure 16-18 feet deep on jigs. Bass have been schooling up the creeks but have been hard to catch. Stripers and bass are slow to fair fishing crank baits around the lighted piers. No report on catfish or bream this week. CANEY LAKE — A few bass have been caught at night fishing the submerged humps in deep water with plastic worms. One report received of a bass over 10 pounds caught at night but in general, things are quite slow. No reports on crappie, bream or catfish this week.
