Enterprise Outdoors columnist Glynn Harris was among the award recipients at the Louisiana Outdoor Writer's Association conference in Gonzales.

During the 73rd annual conference of the Louisiana Outdoor Writer’s Association, held last weekend in Gonzales, winners in the organization’s Excellence in Craft contest were presented awards for their accomplishments over the past year.

Glynn Harris, outdoors columnist for the Bastrop Daily Enterprise was awarded third place in the newspaper category for his article, “A Giant of a Man Has Fallen,” concerning the death of a special neighbor, Ed Chandler.

Harris has written for area newspapers for the past 46 years and has been the recipient of more than 50 Excellence in Craft awards.
