D'Arbonne Woods 8, Beekman 2 (2nd game)

Tanner White allowed only five base runners in a two-hit complete game effort as D'Arbonne Woods defeated Beekman 8-2 Monday afternoon to complete a sweep of Monday's double header.

Allysa Culbreath matched zeroes with White through the first three innings.

DWCS went up 1-0 in the fourth on two walks and a hit batsman before breaking the game open with five in the fifth.

Lexi Rosson, the first of five straight batters to reach safely, started the outburst with a base hit and Avery Parrott walked. Alexis Phelps and Carly McCrary followed with base hits and Klayr Hayes cleared the bases with a two-run double. Two batters later, Avery Hayes' RBI groundout bumped the Timberwolves' lead to 6-0.

Parrott singled home Rosson, who walked, to make it 7-0 in the sixth.

White allowed only two base runners through the first five innings on a one-out walk to Tanner Spigner in the first and a two-out single by Kateland Fulmer in the third before running into a rough patch in the sixth.

Culbreath walked, Fulmer broke up the shutout with an RBI double and Ashton Reynolds added an RBI groundout to bring the Lady Tigers within 7-2.

Avery Hayes doubled home a run in the seventh to wrap up the scoring and White finished out the game with a three-up, three-down inning.

DWCS (14-9) totaled seven hits as Avery Hayes doubled and singled, Klayr Hayes and White doubled and Parrott, Phelps and Rosson singled.

Fulmer doubled and singled for the Lady Tigers' two hits.

Beekman (6-17) travels to Oak Grove on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. for the regular season finale. Playoff pairings will be announced Thursday.
