Sterlington High senior Landon Jinks and Noah Sistrunk finished fifth out of 138 teams in the Louisiana Student Angler Federation on Cross Lake in Shreveport.

Sterlington High seniors Landon Jinks and Noah Sistrunk placed fifth out of 138 teams in the Louisiana Student Angler Federation high school state bass tournament Saturday, March 24, at Cross Lake in Shreveport. Ross Cagle was their boat captain.

Weighing in a five-fish limit of 14 pounds, 8 ounces, the duo secured a top 10 finish to qualify for the SAF National Championship Tournament.

Jinks and Sistrunk were the only team from northeast Louisiana to qualify for the national tournament, which will be held in June on Lake Pickwick in Alabama.
