Bastrop 66, Mangham 55

Danny Hill produced 23 points and 13 rebounds as Bastrop was a 66-55 winner over Mangham in the Sterlington Shoot-Out on Thursday afternoon.

Bastrop broke out to a 16-7 first quarter lead, saw its lead shrink to 25-23 at halftime and carried a 41-34 advantage into the fourth quarter.

Gradually pulling away, the Rams sank 9-of-12 free fourth quarter free throws to put the game out of reach.

"We played well down the stretch," Bastrop coach Theabury Odom said. "It was a well-contested game. Both teams shot the ball well and had limited turnovers. Mangham has a good team."

Hill was complemented in the Rams' (8-7) scoring by Garrett Guirlando with 10 points. Denterrius McHenry was next with nine, followed by Jordan Rabun with eight, Cortlen Newsome with seven, SirQuan Hawkins with five and Neverless Frazier with three.

Robinson set the tone for the Dragons (5-10) with 19 points, including four 3-pointers, and Brandon Haynes had 16.

Bastrop made 15-of-22 (68.2 percent) free throw tries while Mangham was 12-of-17 (70.6 percent).
