LAMKIN — Kyle Henderson and Chance Carter singed the twine for 19 points apiece as Sterlington seized control in the fourth quarter on its way to a 57-34 decision over Ouachita Christian, Tuesday night.
Carter got off to a fast start with eight points as the first quarter ended in an 8-8 draw.
Henderson had seven points in the second frame to help the visiting Panthers carry a 24-22 lead into recess.
Sterlington pushed its lead to 35-29 at the end of the third frame.
Henderson and Carter took over in the final quarter, scoring seven points apiece as the Panthers dominated the frame by a 22-5 margin.
Henderson and Carter received scoring support from Kaden Key with eight, Reid Handy with six and Tray Green with five as the Panthers (3-1) won their third straight.
Zach Hogan led the Eagles (3-2) with nine points, followed by Will Minor with eight, Tyler Minvielle and Hayes Walker with four apiece, Reece Pitson and Travis Loveland with three, A'Kiryn Stewart with two and Ethan DeMent with one.
Sterlington is at home Friday night for a triple header against Choudrant. Game time is 5 p.m. for the junior varsity boys, with the varsity girls and varsity boys games to follow.
