Lincoln Prep 57, Bastrop 24

BASTROP — Jesse Anderson scored 19 points and Alexis Perkins pitched in 13 as the Lincoln Prep Lady Panthers roared to a 57-24 conquest of Bastrop on Tuesday night.

Cynthia Washington's jumper from the key gave Bastrop its only lead, 2-0.

Lincoln Prep (3-4) assumed command from there.

Alexis Perkins tied the game with a bucket from the paint, Justice Cage buried a 3-pointer from the right wing, Jade Anderson worked her way inside, Jesse Anderson swished a pair of free throws and Tia Hardy banked home a mid-range jumper from the left side to put the Lady Panthers ahead 11-2.

Lincoln Prep held a 14-5 advantage at the end of the first quarter.

Up 19-8, the Lady Panthers reeled off 10 consecutive points. Jade Anderson and Perkins both had two baskets during the span and Jesse Anderson added a steal and layup to help Lincoln Prep build a 29-8 spread.

Leading 32-13 at halftime, the Lady Panthers scored the first 15 points of the third quarter to put the game out of reach.

Jesse Anderson and Perkins were the game's only double figures scorers. Lincoln Prep also received eight points from Jade Anderson and Aniyah Rhone, four from Tia Hardy, three from Justice Cage and two from Mia Hardin.

High scorer for the Lady Rams (1-5) was Cynthia Washington with seven. Casual Williams added five, Chyberia Wilson four, Destiny Cephas and Martianna Johnson three and Mia Hardin two.

Bastrop point guard Javia Kennedy was held out of the game due to soreness in her right knee. Kennedy missed the entire 2016-17 season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ACL.

Competing in the Delhi Tournament, the Lady Rams will play Carroll on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Rayville 53, Bastrop 45

T'Kira Wilson scored seven of her 12 points in the fourth quarter as Rayville subdued Bastrop, Monday night at the Hornets' Nest.

Jalexis Kelly scored five points to help Rayville build a 17-11 first quarter lead.

Javia Kennedy scored eight points in the second quarter, highlighted by a 3-point basket and a three-point play, as Bastrop reduced the halftime deficit to 27-25.

Kelly and Mykia Wilson combined for 11 of Rayville's 13 third quarter points as the Lady Hornets upped the margin to 40-35.

Wilson paced the Lady Hornets with 15 points, Fuller had 12, Kelly 11, Shamari Franklin eight, Tashunna Neal three, and Taleria Cavart and Edberlyn Minnieweather two each.

Kennedy scorched in a game-high 21 points for the Lady Rams. Casual Williams had 11, Chyberia Wilson four, and Destiny Cephas, Cynthia Washington, James Rabun and Martianna Johnson two apiece.
