Beekman 54, Kilbourne 36

KILBOURNE — Joe Chandler and Daryl Seay teamed up for 39 points as Beekman gained a 54-36 victory over Kilbourne, Tuesday night.

Daryl Seay scored six of his 17 points in the first quarter as the Tigers built a 12-8 advantage.

Chandler picked up a dozen of his game-high 22 points in the second quarter as the Tigers opened up a 29-11 halftime bulge.

"We jumped on them early, and were able to maintain a good lead on them the entire game," Beekman coach Joseph Waller said. "We were able to get out and run, and get some transition points."

Beekman held a 39-24 lead at the end of the third stanza.

Chandler and Daryl Seay were accompanied in the Beekman scoring by Joe Seay with six, Greg Tatum with four, Xavier Lewis and Chad Jones with two apiece and Jaquinten Killian with one.

The Tigers shot 66.7 percent (10-of-15) from the free throw line.

Beekman evened its record and 2-2, while the Hawks dropped to 1-3.

"This was a much-needed win for us going into our game against OCS Friday night," Waller said.

Closing out a five-game road swing, the Tigers face Ouachita Christian on Friday and return to West Carroll Parish on Tuesday night to take on Forest. Beekman's next home game is Tuesday, Dec. 12 vs. St. Frederick.
