Cole Kinnaird of Prairie View has been selected to play in the MAIS All-Star Football Game on Friday, Dec. 1 at Jackson Prep.
Prairie View lineman Cole Kinnaird has accepted an invitation to play in the MAIS All-Star Football Game. Jackson Prep will host the game on Friday, Dec. 1 at 3 p.m. An awards banquet will be held on Thursday, Nov. 30 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hinds Community College campus in Pearl, Mississippi.
Kinnaird, who played multiple positions on both sides of the ball, helped the Spartans (9-4) advance to the MAIS semifinals for the first time in program history. His role varied from game to game.
Kinnaird and Bryce Hanson of River Oaks were the only two players from District 5-2A chosen for the game.
Cole Garrett and Josh Prine of Class 3A Rayville Riverfield and Holt Martin of Lake Providence Briarfield round out the northeast Louisiana representatives on the roster.
Ron Rushing of Brookhaven is head coach for the White team, assisted by Blake Purvis of Porter's Chapel, Norman Joseph of Columbia and Paul Anderson of Copiah.
Coaches for the Blue side are Chris Craven of Oak Hill (head coach), Darrow Anderson of West Memphis, Greg Wallace of Bayou and Parker Harris of Jackson Academy.
Both teams carry 44 players on their roster. Only seniors are eligible for the game.
