Prairie View 15, Riverdale 3

COUSHATTA — Anna Grace White went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs as Prairie View routed Riverdale 15-3 Thursday afternoon in MAIS softball.

Prairie View settled matters early by scoring eight runs on two hits, five walks, two hit batsmen and two errors. White accounted for both hits with a double and an RBI single.

White's two-run double in the second sparked a three-run third as the visitors opened up an 11-2 cushion.

Prairie View wrapped up its scoring with four in the third on RBI singles by Chloe Hobson and Emma Goss.

Rachel Hankins (1-0) notched the four-inning complete game victory. She allowed one earned run on three hits while striking out two and walking none.

White, who reached safely in all four plate appearances from the leadoff slot, finished with two doubles, a single and two runs scored. Elle Morgan doubled and Hankins, Hobson, Madi Crymes and Goss singled to conclude the eight-hit attack. Hobson and Crymes both scored three runs as the Lady Spartans improved to 2-0 on the young season.
