Lakeside 6, Sterlington 3 (8 innings)

Winning pitcher Dalton Crumpler's two-run single sparked a three-run eighth as Lakeside turned back Sterlington 6-3 Friday night in the Sterlington Tournament.

Jayke Stewart singled with one out in the eighth and Gavin Jones reached on an error. One out later, Crumpler singled both runners across to break a 3-3 stalemate. Jake Gray's RBI single increased the Warriors' cushion to 6-3.

Trailing 1-0, the Panthers tied the game on Carson Clowers' RBI double in the first and went up 2-1 in the third on Dalton Dopson's run-scoring double.

Cameron Gray's second RBI single of the game helped Lakeside retake the lead, 3-2 in the fifth.

Jacob Barr's two-out RBI single in the sixth tied the game at 3.

McIver, Jake Gray, Cameron Gray and Jayke Stewart had two singles apiece for the Warriors, Colton Carter doubled and Crumpler singled.

Dopson went 3-for-4 with a double for the Panthers, Barr doubled and singled, Clowers doubled and Jarrett McDonald, Brooks Rushworth, Tucker Allen, Braden Hough and Spencer Davis singled.

Will Wohlers took the loss on the mound for Sterlington in relief of Davis.
