Sterlington 11, Bastrop 1

Junior shortstop Carson Clowers went 3-for-4 with two RBI in his first start of the season as Sterlington was an 11-1 winner over Bastrop Thursday night in the Sterlington Tournament.

A three-year starter for the Panthers, Clowers missed the Panthers' first 12 games due to illness. He made his season debut Tuesday night, coming off the bench late in a 3-0 loss to West Ouachita.

In Thursday's game, Sterlington went up 6-0 with three in the bottom of the first, one in the third and two in the fourth.

Adam Tubbs went the distance for the win, allowing five hits.

Clowers paced the Panthers' 12-hit production. Dalton Dopson was next with a pair of doubles, Jarrett McDonald doubled and singled, and Jacob Barr, Brooks Rushworth, Davis Johnson, Braden Hough and Logan Rushing singled.

Bastrop received two singles from Danny Hill and base hits from Cameron Freeze, Ashton Lollie and Kamillion Jones.
