Funeral services for Mrs. Margie Bond, 91, of Swartz will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008 at the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Smith of Monroe officiating. Interment will follow at Carter Cemetery. The family received friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19 at the funeral home on Lamy Lane.
Mrs. Bond passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008 at the Oaks Nursing Home in Monroe after a short illness. She was a member of Loch Arbor Baptist Church in Swartz, where she was a nursery worker for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.W. Bond of Swartz, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Martin, four brothers, and one sister.
She is survived by seven sons, Eddie Bond and his wife Cathy, Jesse Bond and Woodrow Bond, all of Swartz, Willie Frank Bond, Jerry Bond and J.R. Bond and his wife Jane, all of West Monroe, and Jimmy Ray Kerrick and his wife Valarie of Georgetown, Texas; two sisters, Maggie Slack of Bastrop and Betty Houidobre of Kenner; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
