Funeral services for Mrs. Lois M. Jenkins Reitzell, 80, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with the Rev. Annie Mae Allen and the Rev. Jeff Willis officiating. Interment will follow at Christ Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.


Mrs. Reitzell, a resident of Mer Rouge, passed away Friday, Dec. 12, 2008. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Bastrop. She was a former operator of the Western Drive Inn and Johnny's Drive Inn. She will be remembered for her Mexican plates, curly Q's and catering the lunches for Prairie View Academy before the school had a cafeteria.


She is preceded in death by six brothers, Paul, Panzie, Edward, Roy, Troy and Brutus Jenkins; and two sisters, Jeannette Cox and Erma Vail.


She is survived by her husband, Paul Reitzell; daughter, Paula of Crossett, Ark.; sister, Freda Mae Thomas; three brothers, Dewayne Jenkins of Crossett, Ark., Dennie Jenkins of Milo, Ark., Linwood Jenkins of Crossett, Ark.; three grandchildren, Rick Oden, Greg Oden an his wife Crystie, Brian Paul Oden and his wife Kelley; five great-grandchildren, Steven Oden, Garrett Oden, Emilee Oden, Leighann Oden, Lola Rae Oden; and numerous nieces and nephews.


Serving as pallbearers are: Bobby Goodwin, Johnny Lee Moreland, Garland Nugent, Ronnie Harrison, Ron Clausing and Bennie Brenner.


Honorary pallbearer is Dr. Allen Spires.
