Bastrop High has accepted an invitation to play in the National Select 7-on-7 Championships, Thursday through Saturday, in Hoover, Ala.
Bastrop, West Monroe and Mandeville will represent Louisiana in the 32-team tournament, which also includes teams from Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Tennessee.
Teams will be divided into four eight-team pools, followed by a double elimination tournament. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of nine games.
