The Enterprise asked area residents how they would spend Super Bowl Sunday. These are a few of the answers. For more local Saints supporters, see pages 6 and 7.
Jeremy Haley
“I will be in New Orleans on Sunday to watch the game”, said Jeremy Haley. He is from New Orleans, has always been a Saints fan and plans to be at a Super Bowl party rallying for the team to win its first ever Super Bowl.
Cleothis Johnson
When the question of “what will you be doing Sunday night”, Cleothis Johnson did not even hesitate. She said she will be at home, with eyes glued to the football game. Johnson said she wanted no interruptions, she had to concentrate on the the Saints winning 32-27.
Mary Kelley
“Get Mary,” was the statement made at Simmon’s when asked about Sunday’s game. It seems Mary Kelley is a die-hard Saints fan. She really got interested in the team in 2006 and said she had watched every game on television this year. Kelley predicts this will be a close game, but said the Saints will win 24-17.
Verna Lowery
When we asked Verna Lowery about her plans for Super Bowl Sunday, she first said rest. But, she did say that she will be at home, with the television on and will give a shout out when needed. She is supporting the Saints, of course!
Spencer Montgomery
Spencer Montgomery said he will be at his sister’s house with family and friends to watch the Super Bowl game. He is a Saints fan, believing in supporting our state and predicts a score of 31-24. Go Saints!
Charlotte Morrison
While shopping and celebrating her birthday Friday, Charlotte Morrison said she will be at a Super Bowl party with family and friends to watch the Saints bring the championship title home to the dome! Her winning prediction is 36-30.
Richard Rogers
‘I have to work Sunday, but I will get off by half-time so I can see the last part of the game”, said Richard Rogers. He was wearing his Saints hat and said he was or has always been a Saints fan. He predicted a win of 35-28.
