The Morehouse Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help with any information concerning recent burglaries in the parish.
On Nov. 11 a patrol responded to an alarm sounding at Lucky’s Bingo on the Mer Rouge Hwy. When officers arrived they noticed the front door glass was busted out. They made entry into the building and saw where a suspect or suspects had tried to remove the Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) but failed. A witness did report seeing a black male exit the building.
A call was received at 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 8, to the MPSO from a resident on Whithorn Road. They reported that when the resident came home they noticed the four-wheeler gone. It is a 2001 Honda Ranger, red in color, 4 X 4 , with a wench on it, valued at over $6000. A witness reported seeing an older model red ford truck in the area with three white males in the front cab.
On Nov. 11 a local farmer reported someone took his John Deere tractor. It appears they used the tractor to get a vehicle out of some mud. Damage to the tractor is in excess of $800.
At 6 p.m on Nov. 14 a resident from the Shelton Road reported that someone had broken into their trailer home. Taken in this home burglary was a Panasonic television with VCR combo, DVD player, all valued at $500.
