A family of three has been arrested for running a clandestine lab in Jones along with various other charges.
According to Sheriff Mike Tubbs, deputies with the North Louisiana Drug Enforcement Bureau, the Morehouse Parish Sheriff’s Office and Probation and Parole department received information that a family was manufacturing methamphetamine again and also in possession of firearms. These charges would be violations of their probation/parole from when they manufactured methamphetamine last year.
Keith, Linda and Brandon Harris were visited by agents at their residence at 13775 Jessie Harris Road in Jones.
The report said Keith Harris, the father, 48, smelled of marijuana and admitted to smoking and being in possession of marijuana.
He agreed to sign a consent to search and admitted to having several items used to manufacture methamphetamine. Keith Harris showed the agents where the items where both inside and outside of the residence.
Agents apprehended an ammonia tank, lithium batteries, and several other components used to manufacture methamphetamine.
Keith Harris also admitted to having a .22 rifle that he had used for hunting. It was recovered inside the residence. Agents also recovered marijuana, rolling papers, xanax, hydrocodone and several mason jars.
After the agents were given consent to search the residence, they asked Brandon Harris, 21, to come out of the trailer. At this time, he ran approximately 1/4 mile before being detained.
In Brandon Harris’ room, the agents recovered smoking pipes and lithium batteries.
A duck was also found on the property that had been shot. Wildlife and fisheries came to the residence to handle game citations, because the Harris’ were on parole/probation and not allowed to have a weapon or hunting license.
When all of the evidence was recovered, the three individuals were charged and transported to the Morehouse Parish Jail where they were tested for drugs.

His wife, Linda Harris, 49, was charged with operation of clandestine lab, conspiracy to operate a clandestine lab, possession of marijuana, possession of schedule IV CDS (xanax), possession of schedule III CDS (hydrocodone) and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Brandon Harris was charged with operation of clandestine lab, possession of drug paraphernalia, conspiracy to operate a clandestine lab and resisting arrest by flight.
