A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Thursday afternoon for the new Morehouse Jr. High Community Based Clinic. Katie Parnell, CEO of Morehouse Community Medical Center, thanked Sen. Mike Walsworth, Rep. Sam Little and the Morehouse Parish School Board for all the support and help in getting this facility built. The clinic will be available to students at MJHS and students from Bastrop High School. Pictured cutting the ribbon is Morehouse Parish Superintendent of Schools Tom Thrower, along with Parnell, Sharon Ray, co-ordinator for the clinic, Chandler Boies, student at MJHS who won 1st place for his artwork which hangs in the reception room, along with chamber members and other school officials.
