The Morehouse Parish School Board will host a Parental Involvement meeting at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Municipal Center.
Dr. Rita F. Pierson, Ed.D, will be the keynote speaker for the event. The fun-filled evening will be packed with good, practical advise from Pierson, who has been a professional educator since 1972. She has served in numerous roles such as elementary and junior high teacher of regular and special education, a licensed professional counselor, assistant principal, educational director, testing coordinator and educational consultant. She is known for maximizing and building on a person’s strenghts and regulary coordinates seminars and meetings for parents, staff, teachersa and school administrators.
Parents of Morehouse Parish students are encouraged to attend this free meeting. Those registered by 5:30 p.m. will be eligible for numerous door prize drawings and refreshments will be provided.
