Due to the high water that flows over the road, the parish highway department has closed the Shelton Cutoff Road until further notice.
Gene Montgomery, supervisor of the department said that there are no houses where the road will be closed, and for residents living in the area, they will be able to get to their homes. After all the recent rains and more predicted, this part of the highway has a lot of pot holes and is dangerous.
