In December of 2017, an invitation from the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office was extended to Chief Allen Campbell of the City of Bastrop Police Department. The purpose of the invitation was to share information about Bossier's newly formed “Drone Patrol.”

Bossier's UAV team consists of 10 deputies who have been trained as both pilots and observers. Since its Creation, Their program has had phenomenal success in crime reduction, limiting the hazards that their officers face in the line of duty, and in increasing public safety.
Those who were in attendance form Bastrop were Police Chief Allen Campbell, Councilman Marvin Moore, Fire Chief Thomas Crowder, Jeremy Defee, and Timothy Williams
