The Morehouse Humane Society raised close to $800 at their annual frozen casserole sale on Thursday, May 10.
Morehouse Humane Society President Tom Thrower said the money raised will be used for the general fund, which helps to pay for supplies to clean the shelter as well as house and feed the animals. Thrower said the shelter spends a minimum of $200 per week on supplies, so the money raised will be a great help.
"I want to thank the people who came out to support us by buying a casserole and those who made the casseroles as well," Thrower said. "It was a blessing to raise the amount that we did, and we will put the money to good use."
