There have been six arrests made for disturbing the peace by fighting, all caught on video and posted to social media Friday evening.

Bastrop Chief of Police Allen Campbell said the Bastrop Police Department responded to a complaint of a group of six females fighting on West Madison Avenue near Charline Street around 7:45 p.m.

"One subject was armed with a bat," he said. "We have made six arrests already, but plan to make more today. It is still being investigated."

Campbell said the group of females fighting in the middle of the street was videoed and posted to social media.

"They were all females ages 19 through 25 years old," he said. "We are still getting identifications done on others."

All six females who were identified have been arrested and charged with disturbing the peace and fighting. The names are as follows: Shaquoyah Williams, Sommer Washington, Veronica Devoil, Tavoyah Williams, Shalegend Bryant and Aqaurius Minnieweather. Bryant and Devoil have each been additionally charged with one count of criminal damage to property.

More arrests are expected to follow.
