The Village of Mer Rouge City Council approved a liquor and beer permit for their Dollar General store.

Mayor John McAdams III said the store had already received the license via the state, and that there was not much the council could do if the state had already approved of it.

The council also approved of the yearly Municipal Water Pollution Prevention (MWPP) report, which is something the village must do every year. The MWPP report addresses waste water as well as water pollution prevention.

The council reviewed their first quarter financial report as well, noting that general fund revenues have been up for three months with a cash increase of $15,000. McAdams also noted that there would be a $3 increase on water beginning this month.
