Terran E. Kennon, 23, was arrested on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m. for stealing a Kawasaki mule side by side from Delta Junior High School in Mer Rouge, La.

According to reports, Kennon, a resident of Monroe, La., stole the side by side from the junior high school and then drove it to Oak Ridge.

"After he got to Oak Ridge he entered a shop building on Main Street and took a 12 amp battery and some deer meat that was in a freezer," said Chief James Mardis. "Then he busted out some glass at the Bank of Oak Ridge."

Kennon was arrested in front of the Newton Service Station in Oak Ridge. After searching him officers located a Ruger 22 handgun on him that was also stolen. He was charged with simple burglary, illegal possession of a stolen firearm, theft value over $10,000 and simple criminal damage to property.
