On February 3, the Awards Banquet was held at the Northeast Louisiana District Livestock Show. During this banquet numerous awards were given out, and among those award were two scholarships. The scholarships were the Clovis Prisock Memorial Scholarship and the NE District Livestock Scholarship. These scholarships are awarded annually to graduating seniors who have shown livestock at the Northeast Louisiana District Livestock Show and display evidence of good character, good work ethic, ability to work with others, financial need for the scholarship, scholastic achievement and

4-H/FFA Participation. This year one very deserving individual from Morehouse Parish won both scholarships. Bailey Willis has been a 4-H member for nine years and has shown livestock for those nine years as well. She has shown market goats, breeding goats, breeding sheep, breeding pigs, exhibition poultry, breeding beef cattle, and rabbits. Bailey has participated in the Ag Expo Livestock Show, State Fair of Louisiana Livestock Show, Northeast Louisiana District Livestock Show, and the LSU AgCenter State Livestock Show. During her livestock career she has won numerous awards including Premier Exhibitor in Goats and Sheep, Showmanship in Goats, and has had numerous Reserve Grand and Grand Champion animals. Bailey will be graduating in May from Beekman Charter School and will attend McNeese State University in the fall. Congratulations Bailey.
