On Thursday, October 19, the Snyder Museum held its first ever Pick of the Patch, a shopping event with goods from local businesses. From 5:00 p.m. To 7:00 p.m., local businesses set up booths filled with goods ranging from clothing and jewelry to homemade items and crafts. People were invited to come enjoy a night of shopping and support local businesses and crafters. Adding to the fun, several door prizes were also given away. The event was put together by Ambi Bundy and Amy Jones Wilkinson to show support to local businesses and they hope to continue it in the years to come. “we hope to get enough feedback from the community and support from local businesses to do it again on a larger scale,” said Wilkinson. Wilkinson and Bundy wanted to bring something fun and fresh to the town and hope to continue to support local businesses in this manner.
