On Saturday, October 14, Beekman Charter School held an Open House for the community.

The event began in the gym, where aerial footage of the school was presented to show its growth through the years. Guests were treated to refreshments, including cake and cookies and given guided tours of the school by members of the Honor Society. The board planned this event wanting to give people a chance to see newly constructed areas on the campus.

Guests were also offered the opportunity to sign up to get a personalized brick put in the school walkway. All senior students receive one, and the school wants the community to participate as well. Members of the board also gave information about the Alumni Association and future projects.

This event, while an open house, was in bigger part a thank you to the community. “We want to thank the community for their continuous support of the school,” said

Board Member, Lisa Chain.
