After one week on the job, we are happy to announce Angee Norman as The Bastrop Daily Enterprises new General Manager/Publisher.
Teresa Hicks, SVP of Gatehouse Media, Southeast Arkansas, visited the Bastrop Enterprise last week to announce how pleased she was that Angee was taking over as GM of the Bastrop office.
"Angee is indeed a consummate professional and has the zest and execution skills needed to do great things in the Bastrop office," Hicks said.
"I'm elated to have Angee join our executive team and look forward to the abundance of success she will have in this role", Hicks said "Angee and I have worked together previously and she has a proven skill set to 'get it done'. The good folks in the area will enjoy her effervescent spirit and the staff will be delighted to have her lead the charge there in our Louisiana office."
Angee will be responsible for the leadership of the Bastrop Daily Enterprise, developing new business opportunities and creating customized solutions to all of our customers. A few of her previous positions include Gazette in Colorado Springs, Gannett Corporation, Freedom Communications (The Orange County Register and The Press Enterprise), Maine Today Media, JRC and 21st Century News.
She is a certified sales trainer and project manager and brings a wealth of experience in instituting new systems, technology, process improvements and multi-channel sales leadership performance.
When asked to give a brief statement about her vision for Bastrop Enterprise, Angee said "I am excited to be back in Louisiana and look forward to getting to know the decision makers, business owners, city/parish officials, and everyday citizens of Morehouse Parish that make this such a wonderful place to live and work."
Norman said she is excited to bring energy to the newspaper and looks forward to being involved in this community and the Northeast Louisiana area.
