A traffic accident resulting in the death of the driver who hit a utility poll in Ruston has caused Suddenlink to lose Internet service to customers throughout the region, including Bastrop and Morehouse Parish. Company officials said their fiber optic system was damaged and that they are uncertain when Internet service will be restored. The company's cable and telephone services in Morehouse Parish were not affected.
