Drunk driver leaves site of an accident

Bastrop resident Drestra White, was hit from behind last night in his Lincoln Towncar at the red light on Hwy. 165 at Keystone Rd. traveling northbound.

 

The three car accident sent White to Glenwood Hospital in Monroe. The other victims, riding in a Minnie Cooper, were Mary Ferrari and Lauren Morgan.

 

They were also transported to Glenwood Hospital. Jared Brown reportedly caused the accident when he hit the Minnie Cooper from behind in his black dooley.

 

Brown fled the scene and was apprehended at Sonic in Sterlington. He was booked in at OCC and charged with  DWI (1st), speeding, red light, hit and run, reckless operation, open container and improper lane.
