  • Scoring on its first two possessions, Riverfield handled Riverdale 14-0 in Game 4 of Friday night's Prairie View Jamboree.
Taking control from the outset, the Raiders put together an eight-play drive.
Tristan Oswald dished to Marc Simmons for a 30-yard pass on the opening play, paving the way for Cole Morris' 4-yard touchdown burst. Cody Hixon's extra point upped the margin to 7-0 just over two minutes into the game.
Chase Eppinette's 11-yard sack on third down forced the Rebels to relinquish possession of the football.
Setting up at their own 49, the Raiders needed just two plays to get back on the board in spite of a holding penalty. Brennan Morris' 44-yard reception enabled the Raiders to go up 14-0 with 10:09 still to play.
Methodically making their way up the field, the Rebels advanced to the Riverfield 32 on a dozen plays before Simmons intercepted a third down pass at the 3 with 1:35 remaining.
Oswald connected on 3-of-4 passes for 86 yards, including two to Brennan Morris for 56. Riverfield rushed for 45 yards, led by Cole Morris with five carries for 26 stripes.
Martin Gould had eight carries for 20 yards for the Rebels.
Riverfield opens the regular season at Central Hinds (Miss.) on Friday while the Rebels entertain Prairie View in Coushatta.
