Prairie View has a busy three days ahead Thursday through Saturday.

As the host school for a softball tournament and a football jamboree, Prairie View has a jam-packed sports schedule for Thursday through Saturday.

The Lady Spartans will host a nine-team, 16-game softball tournament Thursday and Saturday. Last weekend, the Lady Spartans won the rain-shortened Canton (Miss.) Tournament.

Prairie View will play Tensas on Thursday at 1 p.m. in the tournament opener. Rounding out the six-game, first-day slate are Franklin vs. Claiborne at 2:15, Riverfield vs. Union Christian at 3:30, Riverdale vs. Glenbrook at 4:45, River Oaks vs. the Prairie View-Tensas winner at 6, and the Prairie View-Tensas loser vs. the Franklin-Claiborne winner at 7:15.

The tournament resumes Saturday at 8 a.m. with the championship game scheduled for 7:15 p.m.

Friday night's Prairie View Football Jamboree will consist of five 15-minute quarters.

Riverfield and Claiborne start the action at 6:30 p.m., followed by River Oaks vs. Riverdale, Claiborne vs. Prairie View, Riverfield vs. Riverdale and River Oaks vs. Prairie View.
