The Second Annual Little Miss Hope Pageant will be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Bastrop Municipal Center and all proceeds will go to benefit the Morehouse Cancer Fund.

The pageant is a natural pageant for girls age 0 to 18 that is comprised of two competitions, natural beauty dress and an outfit of choice. Age-appropriate makeup is allowed, but contestants may not wear fake hair, flippers or tans.

Dresses for 0 to 12 must be Sunday best or special occasion. Ages 13 and up may wear formal gowns. Outfits of choice are optional and are required to be cancer themed or in a color that represents one of the colors for cancer awareness.

Entry fee is $80. A $40 non-refundable deposit may be made to hold a spot and full balance may be paid the day of the pageant. Early bird entry is $70 if paid in full by Aug. 1. Final deadline for entries is Sept. 10.

A People's Choice Award will be given out to a young lady with the most votes. It will cost $1 per vote and sponsor tickets will also be sold. Sponsor tickets are $1 each and will be sold up until the day of the pageant. A hundred tickets sold will cover the cost of a contestant entry fee. A Ticket Queen will also be crowned and all sponsor tickets will be put into a drawing for a $50 Walmart card.
