The Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Office is looking for information relating to several recent thefts.

On July 15, three gold chains and a pair of Michael Jordan sneakers were reported stolen from a house on Oak Drive. According to Chief Criminal Investigator Major Rose Worley, it is believed that the suspects broke the glass on the carport door to gain access to the home.

On July 19, a 55-inch television was taken out of a house on Dowd Road. There were no signs of forced entry.

On July 20, a home was broken into on Old Bonita Road and several items were taken including a large jewelry box with $3,000 worth of jewelry inside, an iPod, a Playstation and controller valued at $400, a large jewelry box with $500 worth of jewelry, a camo colored compound bow valued at $1,000, a safe with cash in it, two weed eaters and a yellow gold diamond ring valued at $3,000. According to Worley, it is believed that the suspects entered the house through the patio door and then broke the lock on the homeowners shed.

On July 21, a report was made of a horse trailer being broken into on Upland Road. Several items were reported stolen including a saddle with the word “neckbone” engraved on it, a tack, a bridle breast collar and blanket.

“I just want to caution residents to keep their doors locked and secure your lawn equipment,” Worley said.
