Cars were removed from the lot at Toyota of Bastrop last week, causing many residents to speculate about whether or not the car place would still be in business.

Owner John Carter said that the inventory on the lot had aged and the removal of the aged inventory is a normal process for the dealership. According to him, this is a process they go through about every three years. The dealership is still open, and new cars will be coming in soon.

“Everyone is committed to the Toyota dealership being in Bastrop,” Carter said.

During this transition, the service department is still open for business. For more information, visit or call 281.7775.
