  • Crime Stoppers tips lead to three arrests this week.
    Cedric Johnson and Olarrian Thompson were both arrested on probation warrants. Dashawn Herron was arrested on charges of possession of schedule I drugs with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of schedule II drugs, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm while in control of a dangerous substance.
    The Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Office is looking for help with several break-ins.
    On May 9, two suspects entered a home on Old Bonita Road and stole a 47” Vizio flatscreen television, a 17” laptop, a Playstation 3, controllers and a handgun.
    On May 12, a home was reportedly ransacked on Point Pleasant Road. A laptop, several DVDs and pieces of cookware were stolen.
    On May 13, the Morehouse Sheriff's Office annex building on Eugene Ware Road was broken into. Three vehicles appeared to have been gone through. A Pioneer amplifier and a Gorilla amplifier were reported stolen.
    The Bastrop Police Department is also looking for help with several local burglaries.
    On Tuesday, there was a burglary at 1218 Guy. AC units, tools and a compressor were reported stolen. There was also another burglary reported at 1807 W. Madison. A red lawnmower was reported stolen.
