Murphy’s Law Band will have attendees dancing at the Crawfest Friday night.
The five member band will play a range of R&B, Soul, Country and Louisiana Swamp Pop music and members include special guest New Orleans singer Frankie Beeze; Ryan Lowery on the drums, Kenny McCallum on the bass guitar, Randy New on the keyboard and Cliff Lowery on vocals and the keyboard.
Beeze is known for his captivatingly unique voice. He has opened for many well-known artist, such as T. Graham Brown, Billy Joe Royal and Blackfoot.
Lowery has 25 years’ experience in the music business and has opened for big name bands such as T. Graham Brown, Molly Hatchet and Wayne Toups.
McCallum, who has been in the entertainment business for more than 30 years, started out performing to pay his schooling. He has opened for Vince Gill, Travis Tritt and Tim McGraw.
New hit the road at the age of 22 and has played all over the south. He has opened for Joe Stampley, Tony Joe White and Percy Sledge. He has played with a wide range of bands including the Front St. Band.
Lowery, who is a local to the area, says his love of music has taken him through all genres of music from Porter Wagner to AC-DC. His best work is in county and southern rock, which will be performed at Crawfest 2014.
The band will perform in the Boots Farrar Pavillion from 8 p.m. until 11 p.m. April 18. Gates open at 5 p.m.April 17 and 18 and at noon April 19. Special armband prices of $17 for rides are available from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. Thursday and from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday. Parking is free, but there is a $3 gate fee, with those under six years of age getting in free.
