  • Police seek leads in thefts

  • The Morehouse Parish sheriff's Office is looking for information regarding a recent burglary that occured at a residence on Spyker Road.
    The office received a complaint Dec. 30 regarding the break-in, which took place between the hours of 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., and the following items were reported missing:
    A Remington 870 Express pump 12 gauge
  • A Remington 770 bolt action rifle with Otasco scope
  • A Marlin 30-30 lever action with BSA scope
  • A Marlin 22 semi-ato rifle with Bushnell scope
  • An Otasco 22 semi-auto with Otasco scope
  • A Mosburg 12 gauge pump shotgun
  • An H/R 410 single shot shotgun
  • A Mosberg 410 pump
On Jan.6, a complaint was received regarding a break-in at a camp on the Hang Out Road. Reported missing were:
A 5,000 watt Honda electric start generator
  • A Remington 20 gauge shotgun
  • An American HMR 17 rifle with a Zeiss scope
  • A Jennings 9 mm pistol with case
    Investigators with the Bastrop Police Department are still looking for information regarding the whereabouts of Dangelo Montey Brandon, who is wanted in connection with two armed robberies. There are two warrants for Brandon's arrest on the following charges:
    two counts of armed robbery
  • two counts of conspiracy to commit armed robbery
  • three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm
  • three counts of conspiracy to commit aggravated assault with a firearm
  • aggravated kidnapping
  • aggravated battery
  • conspiracy to commit aggravated battery
    His bond amount totals over $700,000.
